However, if there were only 80 players in the tournament, the prizepool would only be $8,000.

Now let's say we are hosting a $10,000 Guarantee Prizepool Tournament. If there were 100 entrants paying $100 each, the prizepool would be $10,000 as per normal. But, if there are 80 entrants, the prizepool will still be $10,000, even though we only collected $8,000 in entrance fees from the players. This is our guarantee and the additional $2,000 comes out of our own pocket! If you think there is a catch, think again. If there are 120 entrants, the prizepool will be $12,000. We do not take and deductions or set the prizepool amount in stone. We are simply offering a minimum guaranteed prizepool and if it swells beyond our guaranteed minumum, the additional entrance fees are added the prizepool in full.
